Deliverablity

Infusionsoft and Constant Contact (and most other CRM systems) have the ability to "send on the behalf of.."  -this is nice because then replies go back to the person it was sent on behalf of. For example, we could send you mail via sales@acme.infusionsoft.com on behalf of sales@totalbusinessware.com, if you replied the mail would go to sales@totalbusinessware.com

SPAM

SPAM's most common definition is probably "unsolicited electronic marketing". What started out as an email concern has now grown to include text messaging, which makes perfect sense, both are highly personal. There is a lot of good information on the web about "spam free" marketing so we are not going to parrot it here. Instead we'll share some links to partner resources we find helpful.

The CRM services and Constant Contact and Infusionsoft have lots of good information about how to keep your email out of SPAM filters. Some even allow you to buy a dedicated IP address so your email reputation is not measured with other senders, this is ideal but could be considered costly. Shop around.

For marketing to contacts in the United States, CAN-SPAM is the law of the land. It's pretty easy to follow common sense. Check state and local laws too.

Canada has recently passed similar but more restrictive law. At the time of this writing it phases in a requirement for double opt in. This is generally the process of sending registrants a confirmation link, to ensure the address is correct and it was really them that signed up. -This may not be possible with Outlook, if you market to Canada you should look to a more sophisticated platform like Infusionsoft.
