Verify or change the communication type of the Lane 3000, 5000 and other Ingenico Telium 2 devices.  

 

 

1.Press 0-0-0-1 to access the admin menu. (shown below)

2.Select “Communication type” on the screen and press “ the green circle button.

3.Use the number pad to select communication type that matches your connection method. This is typically “RS232 / Serial” or "USB_CDC" if using a USB cable*. 

4.Press the green enter key. (Nothing noticeable happens.)

5.Press the red “X” key followed by the green enter key to save. If you have made any changes you will be prompted to save and reboot, press green circle button for YES. If you did not make any changes you are taken back to the Welcome screen.

*If using a USB cable you must manually install the USB driver from Ingenico. If you are going to use USB with virtual COM port (aka serial emulator) then you must install the Ingenico Tellium driver, while doing so ensure the USB cable is NOT plugged into the computer and that you are logged into Windows as an Administrator.

After clicking NEXT on above screen deselect the options to uninstall Microsoft Driver and follw the on screen prompts to finish.
