Normally, Acme searches for lowest price the customer qualifies for and uses that on the transaction. With Mix and Match that may not always be the the case. It is up to the user setting up the price schedule to ensure mix price break makes sense. It is a good idea to test mix and match after you set it up, to ensure it works as expected. Mix and Match rules are detailed below.

.Mix & match trumps everything on the sales side.  Default, customer and special pricing is ignored when an item is part of an active mix & match price code.

.Mix & match can operate like special pricing if a date range is supplied.  Both mix & match and special pricing can work with one or both dates missing; so it is possible to add a price code that runs continuously, or starts now and ends on a particular date, or start on a particular day and runs continuously after.

.Items that stop on price, quantity, or have other special attributes (like bottle deposits) cannot be part of a mix & match price code.

.List only items are also excluded.

.Mix & match does not work with scale bar codes.

.Mix & match works with merge scan.

.Mix & match pricing cannot be manually changed on the ticket.

.Ticket and Trade Discounts are not applied to mix & match prices.

.The item cannot represent a KIT, but it can be a component in one or more kits.

.Returning of items takes into account mix & match pricing.

.You CAN set your mix and match levels equal to case lots, and sell via the case PLU's. Inner packed items in sufficient quantities would also get the mix and match price.

.Item use regular price rules until the mix and match quantity is met. Ensure all items have regular price rules that make sense.
