The optional 2 line customer display plugs into COM3. You should see it flash when first plugged in. If not, you may may need to enable power on COM3. This is done in the bios. To enter the bios press delete key during computer boot-up.

 

Go into >Advanced >Super IO Configuration >Serial Port 3...   (set to 5 Volt)

 

F10 to save bios configuration.

 

The cash drawer port is not typically connected to COM or LPT and is therefore not typically used with Acme in this setup. Plug the drawer into the receipt printer.
