The Acme Data Miner Viewer and Acme Data Miner Designer are full featured reporting applications designed for creating and viewing Acme reports.
The Viewer is included with Acme and has over 200 reports...
•Run over 200 existing reports, charts, graphs, labels.
•Run Drill Down reports, to get to underlying data.
•Schedule reports to be run later. You can even email the output to yourself or others automatically.
•Make powerful changes to reports, like adding/changing filters, changing how the data is sorted, and selecting from about 20 different output formats.
The Designer includes everything the viewer has plus...
•It lets you (or us) create custom reports, charts, graphs, labels. It contains table relationships, common names for fields, calculated fields, ability to print bar codes and much more.
•It allows you to create custom report folders. You can move or copy reports to different folders. A single report can live in more than one folder.
•The designer is not included with Acme, it is available via separate subscription. Designer licenses are applied to Data Miner user(s), not all users need to be Designers.
Installation
The Acme Data Miner installer is included with the Acme Universal Installer download. It is also available as an individual download. Because data structures change over time, you need to keep your Data Miner as fresh as your Acme.
Use the following tips to install Acme Data Miner, our custom report designer / viewer.
1.Create c:\acmepos\dataminer on your file server.
2.Share the folder if it is to be used across the network when the application is run on other computers.
3.While still logged into the file server install Data Miner into the folder you created in step 1.
4.Launch Data Miner to import the sample Reports.
5.Proceed to each workstation that is going to run the Data Miner and use UNC to access and run ...DataMiner\Acme Data Miner\WSSETUP.EXE
It is located in the folder you created in step 1.
Note that on network deployments the license file needs to be found in the Data Miner Data folder on the file server.
It can typically be copied from
c:\program files (x86)\acme data miner\data\
or
c:\program files\acme data miner\data\
