Sales Report Section. -Choose if you would like activity from this department shown in the Sales, Services, or Misc. section of the daily sales report.

 

Target Margin - Supply the default value used for new item setup within this Department. Used in reporting to make it easy to review items that have X deviation from target.

 

Eligible for Loyalty Points Yes/No - This trumps the same setting at the item level.

-Managed by Item

-Storage (customer buys back their own, viz Grain at a coop.)

-Resell (product can be sold to anyone)

 

Changes made here propagate to the underlying items.

 

Host Accounting Link - used with some host accounting systems.

 

Exclude Transfer of Below Items to this department

The control is shown to all. The item list is only show to user with "Multi-Store Setup" privilege.

 

Used to stop the Department's items from being pumped to Central or to Satellites. Primarily used with Acme Mobile app placeholder items in the ZZPLHOLDER Department.

 

Important: If placeholder items are added to Central and Stores you should check this box at Central and all Stores.

 

Sequence number -(Deprecated) Allowed users to affect the order that the departments will show up in each section of the Sales Report. With the addition of multilevel departments, this control was removed and the logic was replaced by alphanumeric sorting of the Department Descriptions.
