There is not a pre-set specifically for safe handling but there are some that will work. Label preset #7 would be the best label option for safe handling if you purchase the 8040 safe handling labels, and #4 would be best if you purchase 8030 safe handling labels. The presets are identical to the stock preset shown in the manual but with added space at the bottom to accommodate the safe handling instructions.
To change label size on the deli scales you need to visit each scale.
First, the label preset would be set in the 1500 Menu (Global Settings). Type in the following...

CL5500 LAN model - DHCP
These are not usually set to DCHP at the factory. To do so...
1.Tap MENU Button on the scale. You should see code 1000 on the display.
2.Tap PAGE DOWN button until you see code 1900.
3.Use arrow button to go through each page until you get page 3. Select # 9 Communication.
4.Code 1912 allows you to turn DHCP on.
5.Use SAVE button to save the new setting.
