General Notes regarding Mobile Scanners
Android and Windows phones and tablets work well with SPP and HID scanners. IOS phones work best with MFI-SPP devices. the CS3000 is NOT an MFI-SPP device.
If you use IOS devices and you wish to use a mobile scanner try to find one that works with MFI-SPP, this is Apple's "made for iphone" version of SPP and should allow you to toggle between scanning and typing without having to press a button on the scanner. We say "should allow" because ultimately it is up to the device developer and out of our control.

To control most popular settings, print the following pages from the user reference guide:
54, reset to factory defaults
56, numeric bar codes for date and time settings, also for entering PIN used to pair to some computers.
63, Bluetooth options for unpair, HID (keyboard mode) and SPP (serial mode)
71, save configuration (SCAN LAST TO SAVE YOUR CHANGES)
90, Convert UPC-E to UPC-A. For example this code 8 digit code 04913207 is sent to computer as this 12 digit code 049000001327.
Note: Select HID or SPP on the scanner prior to pairing with your mobile device or computer.
HID Mode (recommended for Windows, Android and iPhone)
The scanner will work like a keyboard, inserting data wherever the cursor rests.
1.Set the device to HID mode by following the instructions in the device manual.
2.Pair the device with the mobile device or computer.
Apple user note, with this device you will need to press the Bluetooth (small round) button to toggle between the scanner and the on screen keyboard, regardless of the application you are using on your phone.
SPP mode (more control, but only works on Android)
Scanner communication is turned on and off based on where you are in the app. This makes it less likely you will send scanner data into a wrong field.
1.Set the device to SPP mode by following the instructions in the device manual.
2.Pair the device with the phone or computer.
3.On the app configuration screen, set the app to SPP mode enter the appropriate settings:
For SPP settings see mobile phone or computer device manager for settings:
Port = (determined by mobile device or computer, often hard to determine on mobile devices)
Baud Rate = 9600
Parity = None
Data Bits = 8
Stop Bits = 1
