In a multi-store environment customer and contact updates in Portable and Satellite Acme get pushed upstream (to Satellite or Central) and then flow back out to the stores.
Customer and contact (address) records are marked with the UTC of their last change. This value is directly queried from Windows and written to each record as it is updated; the system clock needs to be set correctly. When customer updates are pushed up from portable to satellite to central, the record with the latest UTC is the winner. This works across timezones.
