Enter or load data from existing customer records for Zip Code Assistance.
Zip Code Assistance allows you to propagate the following information based on zip codes.
•City and State
•Price Code
•Sales Tax Location Code
If more than one Tax location Code exists for a given zip code then the zip code can act a filter to make selection of proper Tax Location Code easier during Ticket Entry.
The following example assumes all three types of assistance are turned on in Acme Setup Information > Customer Default Lookup, Zip Codes, Marketing tab.
Example:Setup zip code 55901 and associate it with Price Code "ROCHESTER" and Sales Tax Location Codes "MN" and "ROCHESTER".
While entering customer information in Ticket Entry or Customer Maintenance skip the city and state fields and enter zip code 55901.
1.The city and state will be filled for you with Rochester, MN.
2.The Price Code will automatically be set to ROCHESTER
3.The Tax Location LIST will allow you to choose from the two locations associated with 55901.
Values provided by assistance are defaults only, users can choose differently.
Add Tax location Button -The system allows for more than one Sales Tax Location Code to be assigned with a single zip code.
Remove Tax Location Button -Disassociates a Tax Location with a particular zip code.
Load From Customers Button -Looks at all existing customers and populates the zip code table for you.
