In the Acme Data Miner report writer, a number of fields are setup for barcode printing.

 

Here are some common font / size / dimensions for the bar code fonts. Each will handle a 12 character code.

 

To help illustrate the various levels of compression, all codes in the top section are for item 04913207 (8 digits).

and all codes in the bottom section are for item 021200976551 (12 digits).

 

When using a printer with less than 600 DPI, certain point sizes work best.

For 203 DPI printers use 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 or 26.

For 300 DPI printers use 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36 (Dymo LabelWriters are 300 DPI)
