Note, the scanner may have a flexible clear plastic protective layer placed over it's square lens at the factory. If may be removed before terminal shipped to you. If not, remove with caution. Damage to lens due to improper removal is not covered under warranty. The the plastic protector is easy to spot by looking for wrinkles around the perimeter and by lower successful scan rates.
The 2D scanner is capable of reading 1D and 2D bar codes.

UPC-E to UPC-A Expansion is one of the most popular changes:
The 2D bar code scanner scans UPC-E and by default does not translate them to full UPC. If you have product with short "E" codes (like 02349036) and a database with long "A" codes (like 023400000906) the scanner can translate for you.
Print pages 5 and 82 from the 2D configuration guide. This document is in A5 size. Please check your printing setting before printing it out.
From your printed pages, scan each of these codes in the following order.
1.Enable Parameter Scanning
2.Convert UPC-E to UPC-A (enable or disable code as desired)
3.Disable Parameter Scanning
