Enable Restocking Fee Yes/No -If you enable restocking fees you must set "Disable Combined Ticket" to No on the Pricing, Quantity, Discount Options tab.

 

Restocking Fee Item -Set up an item that will be added to tickets for the restocking fee.

 

Tax Class and Taxable fields can be set to anything you wish, they are not used. Acme will use the values from the item being returned.

 

Stocking = No

Restock Fee = No

Merge Scan = No.

 

Restocking Fee Pct(%) -Enter percentage to be used as default restocking fee.

 

Acme also lets you designate restocking fee percentage on items and customers. The order of precedence:

 

oitem trumps global

ocustomer trumps everything

 

Important Notes:

 

By default customers and items have the restocking fee applied. The restocking fee can be shut off for individual customers or items.

 

EBT (Food Stamp) eligible items are never subject to restocking fees.

 

During returns, if you delete the returned item from a ticket the associated restocking detail line is removed automatically.  Changing price or quantity will also affect the restocking fee.

 

If you change the customer, the restocking line items are removed and added back to the ticket.
