Store Name, Address Line 1, 2 and 3, Phone Number -This contact information is printed onto your receipts and reports. Contact information for purchase orders and other documents can come from Store Locations

 

Store Type -Select a Store Type. Choose from Single Store Acme, Central Store Acme, Satellite Acme, or Portable Acme.  Your choice dictates what will appear on several menus as well as behavior in several parts of the application. See Store Types

 

Single Store Acme -Gets inventory from one location in the host accounting system, or stands alone.

Central  Acme -A non selling Acme used to pass data to and from a host accounting system and two or more Satellite Acmes.

 

You can not sell from a Central Acme since the Post To… process would not know where to take the inventory from. you can create purchase orders

 

Satellite Acme

Used when you have a host accounting system, more than one store, and each store has its own inventory location in the host accounting system. Satellites get their data from a Master Acme. Also see Portable Acme.

 

Portable Acme

Logic used to take a Terminal on the road. Used for selling from trucks, salespeople with laptops, sidewalk sales, trade shows, etc. Portable Terminals can be part of a Single Store, or a Satellite Acme. A Portable Acme gets it’s customer and inventory data from a Single or Satellite Store.

 

Store Number

Controlled somewhat by the Store Type selected above. Central Acme's are always store 0. Single Stores are always Store 1. Satellite Stores are 1-999. Do not change the store number after going live, unless under the direction of technical support.

 

Disable Management Fields in the UI. Y/N

Disables ability to edit the managed fields listed above. Normally set to No in Central and store 001 and Yes in stores 2-999.

 

This control does not block entering data into Management Fields if a user has permission to Add New item. Keep in mind, if an item

 

Host Accounting System

Choose your accounting system or Generic Host as appropriate.

 

Enable Purchasing Yes/No

Controls access to Acme Purchasing and Physical Inventory programs.

Permanently set to yes for stand-alone; no for portable store type.  It's available for user setting, for all other configurations.
