During Ticket Entry >F12 to go to the Tender Entry Screen.
Scan the bar codes on the manufacturer coupons. An asterisk is added to the tender line if the scanned coupon was redeemed against SNAP items.
You may have Manual Coupon button(s) on your tender entry screen. If so, these are used solely for coupons that cannot be scanned. It is up to the clerk to validate the product(s) purchased and SNAP eligibility.
Prerequisites:
1.Configure Acme to handle Scanned Coupons in >Maintenance >Acme Setup Information > Scanned Coupons tab
2.Set up tender type(s) for Manufacturer Coupons
Manufacturer Coupons should be tendered before any other form of payment is taken.
If your system is configured to accept SNAP (food stamps) and is Coupon Authentication is set to "Match Company Number" or Match Company Number and Family Code" and the coupon is scanned then Acme will apply coupons to eligible SNAP items. If the coupon bar code is scanned and SNAP eligibility cannot be automatically determined then the clerk will be prompted:
If the coupon face value cannot be determined then the clerk will be prompted for the value:
ESC will cancel adding the coupon tender. When a coupon has a face value, that value will be automatically used. If the coupon is in the form of "Buy M, Get N free", the value will be determined by purchases if the item family code is set up and matches the coupon.
If the coupon cannot be scanned AND you accept EBT/SNAP it is important for the clerk to choose correct Manufacturer Coupon Tender Type.
