Upgrading is easy. In a simple environment:

 

1.If you run Acme Data Pump on a schedule, stop the task.

2.Log everyone out of all things Acme. this includes Desktop, Data Pump, Data Miner, Mobile App and Price Checker.

3.On first computer, use the Acme Data Pump to back up your data.

4.Install new version over the top of your existing version. Launch Acme and start using it.

5.Repeat step 3 on each workstation.

6.If you disabled scheduled task in step 1 re-enable it.

 

Down time is minimal, the process generally takes 5-10 minutes on first computer if database updates are involved and only 2-3 minutes on subsequent workstations.

 

Consult the Acme Change Log prior to upgrading to become aware of new features and whether or not they require configuration.

If you do not know if you are eligible for an upgrade please contact Total BusinessWare. –Do not install a version you are not eligible for. Your Acme will revert back to a demo copy, you will not be able to enter transactions and you will have to restore from backup or purchase an upgrade license. Activation Codes are tied to versions and host accounting systems.
