These steps apply to most card readers / payment terminals.
If card reader does not say WELCOME, unplug it from AC power source and then plug it back in again. Try another card.
If problems continue, follow these steps…
1.ESC out of Ticket Entry and tap on > Maintenance > POS Terminal Setup
2.Tap on Electronic Payments (Credit Debit Snap)
3.Tap "Perform EMV Parameter Download"
4.When that finishes, tap the "Test CC Auth" button, and follow the prompts on the card reader.
5.When the transaction completes, go back into Ticket Entry and resume helping customers.
Cycling the power resets the card reader. EMV Parameter Download updates settings from your processor. These solve most issues. If problems continue, contact Total BusinessWare Support.
