Tax Locale Codes track the locations where goods change hands and are only used when you need Multiple Location / Multi Rate Sales Taxes.
A Tax Locale (location) code should then be assigned to every CUSTOMER in customer maintenance and to every point of sale terminal in Customers.
When customers come into the store, the Tax local associated with the POS Terminal record is used unless the transaction is marked for delivery, then the local associated with the delivery address is used.
Acme can offer the clerk a list of appropriate Tax Locations. See Postal Codes
Sales Tax Cap -Acme has ability to cap sales tax at the Tax Local or Tax Class. The amount entered is the maximum dollar amount that will be collected per transaction. See Sales Tax
