Define your own label layout for use INSIDE Acme. -Your new layout can appear in the drop down lists when printing item or customer labels in Acme, if you name the label file as described below.

IMPORTANT: Use Dymo Label Software Version 8 and any Dymo LabelWriter up to model 4xxx. Model 500 and higher printers are not supported.

If you have the wrong sized label stock installed in your printer then output can be unpredictable. For example labels may print in portrait instead of landscape. Always test with proper label stock loaded.

Legacy labels that shipped with Acme may have an LBL extension. Newer versions of Dymo software create labels with .LABEL extension. Starting with Acme build 930 only LABEL format labels are compatible.

Save the new definitions in the acmepos\labeldefinitions folder ON EACH WORKSTATION that will print labels. Use a .LABEL file extension.  Limit the file name to 50 characters.

Label printing now categorizes label definition files (*.LABEL) by one of the keywords (shelf, item, sign) embedded in the file name.  The keyword can fall anywhere in the file name and multiple keywords can be used to make the definition show in multiple lists.

If you include the dimensions (H x W) in millimeters, Acme will display that as well as the Dymo size in inches and the Dymo label model number.

The label shown below has a file name of "Bar Code Label 89 x 28mm & Description (item).label", it will be available on the drop down list while printing item labels.
