Custom styles can be designed with different columns, totals etc. See your dealer for a quote.

Print to Display. Y/N

Print to display is used to simulate receipt printing when no receipt printer is installed. This makes it easy to demo the software on any PC.

If you are using a Windows invoice printer you can also use this control to print to display and then either cancel or print to paper.

If using a receipt printer and this control is set to YES then no receipt will print.

Print on Demand (check box)

If selected then receipts will only print when clerk demands it. To demand a receipt use the "Reprint Ticket" action in Ticket Entry or >Transaction >Reprint Ticket on the main menu.

Print Amount Saved. Y/N (on each detail line)

Due to space limitations and store preferences this option is not available on all receipt styles. Please contact Total BusinessWare if you would like to discuss custom receipts.

Saved Amount is the difference between List Price and what the customer pays. It includes coupon savings.

extended list price - extended purchase price + coupons

If the item does not have a list price then Acme uses the price before discounts and coupons as the "list" price.

Example, hamburger is setup without list price. Scale label says 2.99 and 1 lb. Clerk gives 10% discount. You saved = 30 cents.

Print Total Savings, Y/N (on receipt footer)

Due to space limitations and store preferences this option is not available on all receipt styles. Please contact Total BusinessWare if you would like to discuss custom receipts.

Total Savings is the difference between List Price and what the customer pays. It includes customer specific prices and percent discounts. See Amount Saved Threshold below.

Amount Saved Threshold

Enter minimum amount that you would want printed as an amount saved on the receipt. This option is not available if the receipt style you chose does not support printing amount saved.

Print Ticket Number Bar Code Y/N

Print a bar code of the receipt (ticket) number on the receipt / invoice. The code can be scanned to retrieve pricing during returns or Hold Ticket retrieval. This option will not be available if you are printing to a dot matrix printer, it is available when printing receipts or laser invoices.

Invoice Line Adjustment

Moves the invoice body up or down on the page.

Issue Form Feeds

Controls whether a form feed or a series of line feeds is used to position to the

next page on a dot matrix printer. This is printer dependent and in most if not all cases this setting will have little effect.

Testing

It is possible for test to pass in POS Terminal Setup and fail in Ticket Entry. When this happens it is likely a mismatch between Acme and the printer's serial handshaking settings OR that you have cash drawer set to work on same COM port, and it does not have same COM settings.

In Acme see CTS / DSR. On printer see handshaking, XON/XOFF is S/W based and DTR/DSR is H/W based.

Ticket Type (pick list)

Select the ticket type that you want to test printing.

Test Print Receipt [Button]

Test printing to a printer or display. Note that if printing is set to display that the display will NOT show features like compressed fonts, etc.

Port Settings

View your receipt printers port settings. You can change them on the Printer Tab.
